The Department of Botany was established as early as 2020 a three- year Degree Programme of B.Sc Botany with the motive of equipped quality education to women students from rural areas in and around Attur district. A three-year bachelor's degree program in Botany provides the foundation for prospective botanists to pursue a graduate level education or find an entry-level career.
The U.G botany laboratory is well organized s and equipped. Our department serving as a valuable departmental library. In our department available admitted strength is 44.
Objective
To equip students with knowledge of
- The origin, evolution, structure, reproduction, and interrelationships of microbes and plant groups.
- Plant physiological activities, biodiversity, and horticultural techniques.
- Mushroom cultivation techniques, nursery bed preparation methods, and plant propagation methods, green house.
